The i20 hatchback has been specially designed to meet the needs and tastes of European customers. It has come out with a longer wheelbase than the outgoing Getz model. In the following sections, we present an informative comparative study of the new i20 model variants.
Initially, this model was made available in 2-main trim levels namely Asta and Magna. Later on in April 2010, the company came up with two-new models including Sportz and Era.
All models are offered with both petrol and diesel engine options. The new Era is developed as the base trim level of this hatchback, while the Sportz edition is introduced in order to fill the gap between pre-existing Asta and Magna trims.
All models are fully-loaded with a wide range of smart standard features, and the most important options include FATC (Fully Automatic Temperature Control), burglar alarm, an in-built USB port (can be seen with Magna).
Glimpse of All Model Variants
Era is the base model, which is equipped with a standard 1.2-liter Kappa petrol engine that is capable of delivering maximum power of 80 PS and 11.4Kgm of torque.
Magna is just an upgraded edition of base Era, which has been incorporated with additional features including body colored ORVMs, luggage lamp, rear-parcel tray, and fabric upholstery.
Likewise, the remaining trim levels are equipped with other additional standard equipments, which makes driving even more comfortable, but at an extra cost.
